Spice up your life and give our Zingy Ginger Delight Banoffee Pie a go!
The humble Banoffee pie is one of the easiest desserts you can make – and it’s a crowd-pleaser (win-win).
We’ve made our version for your eating pleasure and put a Molly Woppy spin on this Kiwi favourite by using our Zingy Ginger Delight artisan cookies for the base – basically, we’ve put the YUM into the crumble. ENJOY!
Molly Woppy Zingy Ginger Delight – Serves 8
Ingredients:
- 250g Molly Woppy Zingy Ginger Delight cookies (you’ll need 2 boxes)
- 50g melted butter
- 1 tin of caramel condensed milk
- 3 bananas
- 250g cream (has to be full cream)
- ½ tsp vanilla essence
- Chocolate bar of choice (for topping)
Method:
- Crush the Zingy Ginger Delights in a plastic bag with a rolling pin.
- Melt the butter and mix with the crushed cookies.
- Press into a round dish or tin.
- Spread the caramel on top of the base and chill in the fridge for 20 minutes.
- Once chilled, slice the bananas and arrange evenly over the top.
- Whip the cream with vanilla until soft peaks form.
- Grate chocolate and sprinkle on top.
- Pop into the fridge until ready to serve.
